The stress response is a “fight or flight” psychological and biological condition caused by fear. It more appropriately should be called the fear response. Without stress, man and other animals on this planet would not have survived. Although stress can be beneficial it can also be harmful and even deadly.
On the beneficial side, stress can be a motivator. It helps you to confront challenges, stay focused, energetic, and keep you on your toes; it sharpens your concentration, improves performance, and keeps adrenaline, the so-called “fight or flight” hormone, flowing for extra strength in defending yourself.
